Dr. Joseph E. Gaugler

Distinguished McKnight University Professor, University of Minnesota School of Public Health

Dr. Joseph E. Gaugler is an applied gerontologist and a Distinguished McKnight University Professor at the University of Minnesota's School of Public Health. He holds the Robert L. Kane Endowed Chair in Long-Term Care and Aging and serves as the Director of both the Center for Healthy Aging and Innovation and the BOLD Public Health Center of Excellence on Dementia Caregiving. His research focuses on the longitudinal implications of family care for individuals with Alzheimer's disease and other chronic conditions, as well as the effectiveness of community-based and psychosocial services for these populations. Dr. Gaugler is also known for his work in mixed-methods research and implementation science. In addition to his leadership in various national research centers, he currently serves as the Editor-in-Chief of The Gerontologist.

Dr. Elizabeth Zelinski

Professor of Gerontology and Psychology, USC Leonard Davis School of Gerontology

Dr. Elizabeth Zelinski is a Professor of Gerontology and Psychology at the USC Leonard Davis School of Gerontology, holding joint appointments in the Psychology Department, Neurosciences, and the Study of Women and Men in Society programs. She earned her PhD in psychology, with a specialization in aging, from the University of Southern California. Her research expertise spans gerontechnology, neuroscience, cognition, memory, and language comprehension. She is the principal investigator of the Long Beach Longitudinal Study, which examines cognitive and memory changes in older adults, as well as the alignment between individuals' perceptions of their memory abilities and their actual performance. In recognition of her contributions to the field, she received the Distinguished Faculty Award from the Association for Gerontology in Higher Education in 2016.

Dr. Karen A. Monsen, PhD, RN, FAAN

Professor, University of Minnesota School of Nursing

Dr. Karen A. Monsen, PhD, RN, FAAN, is a professor at the University of Minnesota School of Nursing, where she coordinates the DNP Nursing Informatics specialty and directs the Center for Nursing Informatics. She also holds an affiliate faculty appointment with the Institute for Health Informatics. Her research expertise lies at the intersection of public health nursing and nursing informatics. Dr. Monsen is a leading authority on the Omaha System—a standardized terminology for nursing practice—and serves as the director of the Omaha System Partnership for Knowledge Discovery and Health Care Quality. Her research utilizes advanced methodologies, including data mining, visualization, longitudinal analysis, and machine learning, to explore intervention effectiveness and improve health care quality. Dr. Monsen has received numerous honors for her work, including fellowships with the American Academy of Nursing and the American Medical Informatics Association, as well as several research excellence awards from the Midwest Nursing Research Society and the American Public Health Association.

Dr. John T. Hanley Jr., Ph.D.

Non-Resident Research Fellow, U.S. Naval War College

Dr. John T. Hanley Jr., Ph.D., is a Non-Resident Research Fellow at the U.S. Naval War College and an expert in strategic assessment, national security, and operational wargaming. He is the author of The Navy and the National Security Establishment: A Critical Assessment, with his latest work, On Operational Gaming: A Theory with Implications for Artificial Intelligence, published in June 2026. His extensive consulting background includes designing games for DARPA investment strategies and conducting net assessments for the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD). Throughout his distinguished career in government and defense, Dr. Hanley served as the Deputy Director for Strategy Management in the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), where he led the Galileo Program to foster innovation. His prior leadership roles include positions within the Office of Force Transformation, the Institute for Defense Analyses, and serving as Special Assistant to the Commander-in-Chief of U.S. Forces in the Pacific. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Dr. Hanley served five years on active duty as a nuclear submarine officer and an additional 23 years in the Naval Reserve, holding three command assignments. He earned his Ph.D. in Operations Research and Management Science from Yale University and holds multiple high-level civilian and military decorations, including the Director of National Intelligence Exceptional Achievement Medal.

Brock Dubbels, Ph.D.

Founder and CEO

Success depends on reading the future, not reacting to it. As a Principal IC at Amazon, Nielsen, and Equinix, I've spent 15 years helping organizations anticipate change through applied behavioral research and strategic persuasion. A former Fulbright, NSF, and NIH scholar, and founder of a funded AI healthcare company with two patents, I developed the Predictive Impact Framework to right-size research—balancing cost, time, and certainty to turn early signals into revenue impact and organizational growth. I design experiences where a novice can perform like an expert, and through usage gain expert knowledge, reducing total time for users to create value. So they can focus on their goals, not learning to use software.

Graham is a seasoned design leader with over 30 years of industry experience specializing in UI/UX initiatives and SaaS solutions. Throughout his career, he has led and inspired dynamic teams to deliver user-centric products for Fortune 100 clients, utilizing design thinking and analytical problem-solving to streamline complex technical challenges. His expertise spans hands-on product design and strategic mentorship, with a focus on applications in DevOps and Professional Services Automation (PSA). Guided by a strong commitment to design maturity, he excels at fostering collaborative cultures where elegant, impactful design solutions align seamlessly with both user needs and overarching business goals.
